Account Executive

Calthorpe Analytics, with its flagship product UrbanFootprint, is ready to disrupt the $20B city and regional planning industry.  UrbanFootprint is a SaaS platform bringing modern approaches to the planning process.  We do this by providing curated data, a design toolkit including advanced analytics, and well-designed reports and exhibits detailing planning alternatives.

We are looking for the first members of our sales team.  This means that you will aggressively grow our sales execution capacity through by sometimes being the sales development rep and sometimes being the inside sales team.  You’ll love the challenge and opportunity of coming into a growing company and establishing yourself by bringing in our first thirty customers.


  • Run demos, consult customers, understand client objections, propose and close deals.
  • Respond immediately to all inbound leads and schedule demonstrations and exploratory calls.
  • Prospect and qualify leads and run outreach campaigns (phone & email) to schedule demonstrations on sales executive’s calendars
  • Roll up your sleeves and transition beta participants to paid customers generate new leads.
  • Partner with the management team to close deals
  • Handle contract negotiations with customers
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within a monthly/quarterly schedule
  • Communicate findings on customer needs, problems, interests, and competitive activities
  • Minimal travel required


  • 5+ years as an account executive solution selling $20,000 - $100,000 ARR SaaS deals
  • Experience selling to agencies or public sector (cities, regional governments, or NGOs)
  • Entrepreneurial instinct - you are willing to do more than just sell. You will help with marketing, lead generation, product, and training to help the company succeed.
  • Excellent knowledge of Hubspot Sales or similar CRM system
